Well that didn't work...

I was working on my second Infinity mini last night, and was having a fair few problems with both the white undercoat and my scheme. It really wasnt working and I had to pull the plug, which sucks as I'm trying to get them done for the upcoming event.

I tried a few new techniques and they didnt come off as I expected. And yeah, I did do a test mini, but still. Sometimes you just can't see until you have a few done. It was a mix of greys with red, teal and black...

So they will be getting a purple bath, an fresh black undercoat and a revised scheme. Which will most likely be along the lines of my planned Eldar.

New Scheme...

The lesson is that a lil planning goes a long way. Onwards.

  1. Are you sure you want to have their colour scheme so close to your Eldar? Familiarity is all well and good where painting's concerned, but one would think that the amount of effort you plan to put into these minis, you'd give them an individual love (= colour scheme) all of their own?

    1. Ah, its a good point and you are indeed right Dai. But my Eldar are a long way off and I will probably work out a new one for them. I thought the same thing.

I actually have the base colors down on my Nomad 200pt list, ready for a day of gaming on saturday. I like it, just have to shade and highlight over the next few weeks.

Ton of terrain projects too. So Infinity is at full speed right now.
