I've been working on a fair bit of terrain to get enough to cover a 4x4. With so much needed, i'm trying to get a balance between time taken and money spent.
I picked up some of the excellent Micro Art Studios District 5 Apartments. To cover more ground I decided to uses these mainly as single story buildings, instead of 3 levels. So I worked up some plasticard roofs to make this work easier.
Next up some dirt cheap electric boxes from Home Depot. While they look ok as they are I decided to add a few bits of plasticard to make them work better and look the part. Ladders, doors, pipes etc.
A buddy also gave me some of his spare terrain junk, and these gum containers work well as silos. Few pipes and base and they are good to go.
I'm covering around 60% of the table at the minute, but with more MAS buildings on the way.
More terrain to come soon....

These look very nice. 4 x 4 is a lot of terrain for a game like Infinity. you have roads and walkways, etc planned too?
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of random stuff sat waiting to be crafted into interesting terrain options. just wish I had the energy to tackle them. :)
Thanks! Yes, lot of terrain needed mate. It's a smaller space than 40k but requiring more effort! Roads may come later, but I do have walkways planned, which I will cover in holo ads.
DeleteThe new book is out this week, and a few of the missions call for interesting terrain pieces, like a train! So will tinker with that too.
Terrain is fun, but yeah, requires a lil more energy and time. But a good table is often very much worth it.
