As a Lexicanium Velos was under the guidance of Chief Librarian Jieyta. During a complicated conflict with Eldar forces on Rai, a barren rock, several Librarians where called into battle on the planes of ash to battle the overpowering pyschic assault.
Velos found himself at the centre of the storm alongside Jieyta as the Alaitoc came in great numbers. Such was the significance of the battle that the Eldar host had been joined by Jain Zar, the Storm of Silence. The ferocity of the Eldar was immense and Jieyta lead combat with the Phoenix Lord and her howling banshees. Velos leapt to the defence of his mentor and they battled the deadly warrior women. Velos felt slow and couldn’t land blows on the lightning fast warriors, his nervous system pounded by their psychic screams. His master Jieyta fell, mortally wounded by Jain Zar and his force sword shattered and broken. Velos was at the point of death and sorrow, his body and mind at breaking point. As Jain Zar was about to finish him she suddenly stopped mid strike. A farseer halted her and his eyes blazed into Velos’ mind “Your path does not end here..leave”
Velos spent months in solitude and strengthend his mind and focused his body, he would be faster next time. He trained in an ancient Terran combat art of Wu-Shar and reforged his masters sword into a double bladed weapon. In combat he became unstoppable, like a blur as he forced his powers onto new heights in a flurry of vengeful strikes
Now an Epistolary, Velos is feared and respected within the chapter. He speaks little but his words always carry great weight when he does so.
