A few months a go I entered a comp to design holo boards for Micro Arts Studios, the company that designs official terrain for Infinity. As prizes we got our hands on their guard towers, which I built up over the weekend.
These are the same high standard as the rest of the range, and of course fit in nicely with what I already have. You can see in the photos how they can work as multi story towers, single buildings and also joined to the existing apartments.
I had a ton of bits left over and starting playing around. Then before long I had some barriers, made out of spare wall sections and windows. Not bad!
These are basic primed, and will get around to painting them at some point.

Will admit, that Micro Arts stuff is tasty as all heck. Shame it's a bit pricey for my wallet...
ReplyDeleteIt's good stuff I have to say. I have a table of the stuff now, and frequently get comments on the quality. For a game like infinity its essential, and also adds to the atmosphere.
DeleteI made mine stretch by splitting the kits up into smaller buildings, and making the odd roof out of plasticard. That helped the wallet and covered more ground.
Its nice looking stuff without a doubt. If I saw a building or two for sale at Salute or somewhere, I'd be very tempted to pick one up.
ReplyDeleteDo you get those barricades in the box as well?
Technically yes, the barricades are made up of spare bits you get in the box. Combining corner sections with walls and window parts. Pretty easy and you get a fair few out of it!
